Wine Trade Sports Club
Welcome to the WTSC website
The Wine Trade Sports Club welcomes any member of any aspect of the drinks trade (currently employed or retired) to participate in a diverse range of organised sporting activities throughout the UK each year.
Our members range from company Chairmen to Bar Managers, Wine Buyers to Chefs, PR to Sales Representatives, so if you are in 'The Drinks Industry' and have an interest in playing sport, you too can be a part of the club.
Sports & Activities
The aim of the WTSC is to provide members of the wine, beer, spirits and ancillary trades with the opportunity to play organised sport and interact socially with colleagues and customers. Over the course of the year we offer cricket, golf, rugby, tennis, squash and a host of other activities. We are always looking for new sports events to offer to members including 5-a-side football, sailing, cycling, clay pigeon shooting and much more. If you have any suggestion or would like to organise an event please send details to The President (James Read).
Other social events include an Annual Pub Quiz Night (always a classic!), and of course The Wine Trade Sports Club Foundation Walk, a charity walk and really fun day out for family and friends alike which takes place every other year raising money on behalf of our offical Charity the WTSC Foundation for a specific cause.
We are always looking to recruit new members. Joining is incredibly simple, please complete the online form. We will then send you details of how to subscribe to an annual membership of £20 or alternatively sign up to Life Membership for £220.
The Wine Trade Sports Club Foundation
As a charitable club since 1973, the funds we raise are donated to our registered charity The Wine Trade Sports Club Foundation, who in turn make significant annual donations to the Drinks Industry Charity, the Wine & Spirit Trade's Benevolent Society, who raise money for people who have worked in the industry and who through no fault of their own find themselves in financial or physical difficulty and need help.
